Research Manager - Termed Maternity Leave Replacement
Human Futures Studio is looking for an experienced research manager/coordinator to join our international, interdisciplinary team for the duration of our current Research Manager’s leave. This period will last for 6 months, from July 2025 to December 31st, 2025. There will be a possibility for an extension of this contract.
The successful candidate is a researcher with 5+ years of recruitment and research project management experience and a record of excellence in project coordination, market research, and communication. They will also have experience working with a wide range of researchers, qualitative and quantitative practices, and working with recruitment agencies. They must be a good collaborator, communicator, and a lovely human being.
This is a termed, full-time contract position. While the initial contract will be for 6 months, a successful candidate may have the opportunity to extend the contract or take a different position in the company. These possibilities will be dependent on a number of factors and will be addressed at the end of the first contract period in December 2025.

Responsibilities:
Independently managing relationships with external recruitment agencies
Project managing complicated research recruitment processes
Understanding complex research protocols and innovation projects
Providing excellent communication with internal and external partners
Independently coordinating all recruitment activities
Collaborating with a mullti-disciplinary team of researchers
Collaborating with a wide range of corporate, public sector, and governmental clients
Writing, editing, and proofreading screeners, customer profiles, and short surveys
Managing vendor quotations and project budgets
Researching new 3rd party vendors in recruitment and/or survey deployment
Coordinating recruitment, participant selection, and liaising with recruitment vendors for several projects simultaneously
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in social science (social statistics, social psychology, anthropology or sociology preferred) or a related field. A Master’s Degree in these areas is not needed but preferred.
5+ years of experience in market research recruitment
2+ years of experience in innovation consulting
Experience with anthropological and sociological human-centric, patient-centric, and user-centric studies
A proven track record managing projects
A proven track record managing external vendors
A strong understanding of recruitment processes and procedures
Existing relationships with recruitment agencies
A proven track record collaborating with a team of researchers, designers, and business consultants
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Experience with handling small budgets
The ability to work independently when required
A healthy distrust of market research practices
